Hailing from the “919”, the land o’ the pine, this Raleigh-based 5-piece rock / country / bluegrass / americana jam band has been blazing up the local scene since 2023. Pine1Nine is comprised of the multi-instrumentalist talents of Triangle musicians including Tony Gregory (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Billy Bryan (banjo, mandolin, guitar), Jared Smythe (bass), Mike Martin (drums/percussion), and Ryan Malek (keyboard, vocals). Pine1Nine sprinkles their unique flavor on a selective dose of covers ranging from Taylor Swift to the Doobie Brothers to Zach Bryan (I mean, c’mon how often have you heard a mash-up of Miley Cyrus and the Grateful Dead?), along with sampling from a stockpile of original songs. With their blend of melodious vocals, foot-stomping’ grooves, energetic jams, and wide variety of covers and originals , they’re sure to satisfy even the most refined of musical palates.
