We have discovered a unique space unlike any other in Raleigh. Named after the “bowstring-trusse” ceilings famous in the 1920s, we converted an old Gulf Oil crude barrel storage garage into a space with tables, games, and a large service bar.
Made with fresh hand-rolled dough and homemade pizza sauce, we cook a NY-style pizza that has a classic taste with a crispy bottom crust. Enjoy it along with a cold beverage on one of our two patios or large grassy "reward", outfit with picnic tables and yard games.
Our Customers should have options when it comes to what they want to drink. We offer rotating taps of your favorite local craft brews as well as national brand favorites. We also have an extensive cocktail list and serve wine and rose by the glass, as well as assorted bottles.
Bowstring is the Triangle Area’s spot to be for live music, events, and more! Local artists, local bands, local beers plus pizza = your perfect local hangout. Recurring events are held throughout the week such as Trivia night on Tuesdays and fitness classes every Saturday and Sunday.

Happened upon this place when I was in town for work. LOVED the pizza and the drink specials. Met lovely local people. Live music was great. Enjoyed the fire pits and the whole warm feel of the place. Just loved that this place is dog-friendly. Would return without hesitation.
One of my absolute favorite places to go for football, day drinks, new beers, great seltzer selection and overall great ambience. Their outdoor space is like no other outdoor space in Raleigh and their pizza is top notch!
Excellent atmosphere, with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. A great pizza food truck, that is one of the only places I've seen that does pizza by the slice! Occasional live music with great beer and cocktails on tap! Definitely a must stop in Raleigh!
Music, pizza, alcohol what more could you ask for! The best environment to bring your niece or nephew to and absolutely destroy them in some bags. 10/10 recommend their cocktail tower as well!
It didn't hurt that it was a BEAUTIFUL weather evening, but we were very impressed with our first visit to Bowstring. The beer was good (we did mistakenly think they brewed) and the pizza was great. Fantastic outdoor atmosphere and super friendly staff!
